Becoming Bulletproof: An Uncommon Approach to Building a Resilient Body
We were made to move: to climb mountains, to swim lakes, to run trails, to jump creeks. We were designed to be fully capable of performing any task. We were made to be resilient. We were made to be bulletproof. Somewhere along the way most of us have lost our abilities to move, to run, to climb, to play, to live. We have become broken.

Good for people getting started or recovering from injury,
I bought this on the strength of the previous reviews and felt that it would be a good buy at half the price, but for $10 I expected more. It’s a very fast read – took a couple hours tops. I’m in pretty good shape already and while some of the exercises were good, there were no great insights or revelations that have made significant improvements to my level of fitness. I think this would be an excellent read for someone looking to get back in shape, or who may want to use it as part of a program to recover from an injury.

|The Lost Art of Play,
I originally picked this book up because the concepts just made sense to me as a fitness trainer and movement enthusiast, little did I know how valuable the information would be for my private clients and classes. The more people I train the more I realize the power of this book to enhance peoples lives. The modern world has done our movement patterns a great disservice but the authors have provided a very simple and effective approach to correcting movements and thus erasing chronic pain and getting more out of life. The idea to get out and “play” on a day to day basis is something we preach to kids but most of us are missing out on the physical and mental benefits of this approach. Instead of going through the paces of your typical “work out”, the authors offer a new perspective. This is movement training and it has the power to restore and rejuvenate the body. This material is so beneficial for athletes and those who love to hit the gym but this book will save so many more who neglect their fitness or those who default to the same routines and see little or no change. The impact this approach can make cannot be put into words, you must read AND then go out and try it for yourself. For the cost, this is really a steal. Buy this book if you have any interest in moving, feeling, and looking better.

|Well Worth The Cost,
Bought this book at the recommendation of Dan John and it’s been well worth it. I’ve suffered off and on with lower back pain on the left side for years. Doing one of the drills in the book (spiderman crawl) I was able to trigger the pain and figure out that when I moved my right leg back, my right glute collapsed slightly which transfered the stress to my left lumbar muscles.
Years of doctors and PT failed to figure this out.
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in improving their movement patterns. It just may solve an issue for you.
