Asked: I’ve lost 23 pounds, can’t tell the difference much?
I started a weight loss journey at the beginning of this year. At my heaviest, 182 lbs, and being 5'2 and 23 years old I was obviously obese and not happy at all.
So far, I've lost 23 pounds. I lose about 2 pounds each week. I slacked off during March, so I wasn't very consistent, but I still lost a bit.
I just weighed myself this morning and I'm at 159. I'm seriously proud of myself. I probably hadn't weight this since I was in Junior High.
My question is though, even though I do notice it in my clothes and such, I still don't see my body any majorly different. When will I start noticing changes?
My ideal weight is 130, I think, since I'm of medium size frame. If I see I still need more once I get there, I will keep going, but I think that's a realistic goal.
So can being 29 pounds overweight make you seem still really fat? There was a family gathering and one of my little cousins took a rather unflattering pic of me in which I look so fat! It brought my spirits down.
Thanks for your help.

My eczema started at an early age. By the age of 5, I could barely sleep at night because of the intense itching. My mother took me to my pediatrician who said that I had dry skin and instructed her to use lotion on me 3 times a day.
