Ive seen people including children taking controlled substances like ritalin, adderal, valium, xanex etc. Children and teenagers are getting prescribed antidepressants. I see people with a minor cold completly over medicating with antihistimes, cold medicines and pain pills. Weight loss industry markets pills all the time and people get prescribed hydrocodones and oxycodones for a sprained ankle.
Its starting to seem like people these days only go to the doctor for a prescription and not to find out how to actually treat and prevent an illness. Most people who want a magic pill to solve all their problems without paying any mind to the side effects of these drugs.Who here thinks our society is entirely too dependent on drugs rather then doing any work to fight a disease (such as changing diet, or lifestyle etc)

I'm going to see my family in America at the end of March, a lot of whom are really skinny. Last time I went was three years ago, and I was fat then. I'm really fat now, and I am palling to lose 98lb in a year, but I'm wondering two things:
1. What size can I get to healthily for the 23rd of March?
2. How to maximise results?
Here's the deal; I walk about a mile and a half every day, do zumba once weekly, 2hrs dance weekly and PE lessons too. I have fruit and veg every day (munching on a banana right now) and drink water all the time, and might have 1 or two fizzy drinks weekly, but that's because some days I don't get my sugar intake right. Let me explain…
If I don't have enough sugar (refined sugar, not just carbs generally) in a day, I feint. It happens with carbs to, but its a lot easier to get carbs in healthily. So, on occasion, I feel myself getting woozy and have to have fizzy drinks/ sugary drinks/ sweets. Fizzy drinks are my poison of choice.
I am 15, 5' 10" and was 245 on 1/1/2012. I plan to weigh once a month so I don't get discourage, as some do, when I'm losing the recommended 1-2lbs and expect to see more. So, considering all this, and that I plan to start do 1hr- 1hr 30mins swimming on sundays, what size can I be before the big trip? And how to get there?
