I want to lose weight and burn fat not gain muscle mass or getting more bulky and buff. I know running, walking and skipping are types of cardio . Can you list some cardio exercises out?

My husband went to a walk in clinic for a sinus problem, his b/p was up.They put him on clindamycin, and told him to see a Dr. He would usually walk the dog in the evenings. He is talking about stopping the walking. I looked into the Dash diet and we started the nutri bullet. We don't use salt when we cook nor apply a lot to our foods.For years now I have not fried foods at home. He is a junk food junkie. But now wants to changes his ways. His b/p ranges 150/100 to 140/92 should he get b/p medications or can it be controlled in time with diet and exercise. He's afraid to keep up the walking I told him he shouldn't stop and he feels once he gets the sinus infection cleared up the b/p will be o.k That is why he buts off seeing a Dr. which we don't have anyway His b/p was always good before.

now i do not follow any type of exercise,i eat 2 bars of chocolate of around 33gms on daily basis,my diet consists of of daily 3 times nonveg without any green veggies or fruits ,also eat junk food a lot.help me to start a new healthy life.i want to know like how much distance i have to cover on day one and the progress week by week with regards to walking distance and time.i am weighing at present 73kgs with 36% body fat,i plan to follow a 3 to 4 months walking regime and to bring down by weigh to 63kgs or at else body fat to 14% to 16%..

My adverage day is spent sitting on the couch playing ps3 al day my adverage meal consists of either of these foods Chips, Soda, pizzas, Hotdogs chocolate milk I dont even drink water. I am 228 lbs. I dont prefer to walk around town bc of my anxiety. the thing is i just got a job at the resource center and they are going to be helping me with my depression and stuff. plus It will keep me busy and not be sitting on the couch all day. I dont know how to measure foods. I dont know how to cook and Im not able to cook because im to broke to buy a working oven. I have a stove top and micowave. So anyways to the real question. If I start by not drinking soda and instead of unhealthy junk foods switch to veggies, water, and just good healthy food. then start walking up my stairs 5x a day then will that change alone allow me to lose fat?i was thinking about just going on the hcg diet but that is more confusing than exercise. So im just thinking in my mind that If i do the stairs thing instead of soda buy water instead of junk food for breakfast lunch and dinner, then i will eat like um apples veggies, tuna fish.Do you think thats a ok enough plan for someone who doesnt even know how to use a measuring cup.I use to be 125 lbs i got fat because I chose to eat junk food really. Its not that I ate so much chz at first it was just eating junk then a few yrs later i just kept eating. I have it in my mind that if i just stop eating junk food all together than i will lose weight as long as im walking up the stairs for now. and im going to be staying busy at work like i said.

Hi! Im 24 years old, 5'5 and weight 253 poundswhich makes me morbidly obese. My friend just went through a bad breakup and relieves stress by walking a crap ton. I walk with her for moral support and bcuz I obviouslly need the exercise. Im super lazy and hate any kind of exercise but Im doing it.I was wondering since I dont exercise whatsoever, is starting off walking 7 miles at once too much strain on my body? I walked14 miles in the past 2 days and got lots of blisters on my feet, and my body is in soo much pain I cant really walk or move. Also with that being said, what kinda rate of weight loss can I expect to see if I continue to walk as much as I am now? I have hypothyroidism (controlled as of now) and my Dr. has me on adderol to curb my appetite so I can lose weight. I weighed 272 before I started taking my adderol 3 months ago.

I am 15, 171cm and 63kg. my bmi is therefore 21 ish. I know im not fat, but i have extra weight i dont like on my thighs, hips and i would ideally love a flat stomach!! I have the whole summer to do it
I am going to Devon tomorrow for a week, and me and the family usually do a fair bit of excersise: walking for 2 or so hours most days. after next week i usually go running 1/2 times a week and will do some more walking on some days.
With the lack of exercise can you advice me on how to cut back on food? i dont want my family knowing im dieting because they will try and stop me! So any helpful tips and advice?
