Will running cause me to gain weight?
Katherina Gomez Asked: Will running cause me to gain weight?
I'm 5'2ish and I weigh 103, I DON'T WANT TO GAIN WEIGHT because of running. I want to tone up, I mean…if I lose 5 pounds of fat? and gain 5 of muscle…I don't even know if that's possible, but that'll be okay. How can I avoid weight gain? I just want to stop some jiggles here and there
, or should I just keep a healthy diet? I'm 14 by the way… ._.

Running helps you lose weight, not gain weight
I highly doubt running will make you GAIN weight.. if anything after a while you'll lose weight. but at 14 and 103 lbs, you shouldn't have anything to worry about!
Running doesn't cause you to gain weight. Eating the wrong foods causes you to gain weight. Running – or any type of exercise – will build muscle. Muscle burns more calories than fat. So if you can muscle and eat the same amount you will burn more calories than before and lose weight – and the weight you lose will be fat.
Though I don't think you have a lot of fat to lose. Just eat healthy and exercise and you'll be fine.
